How Clear Checkout, Fair Shipping, and Digital Sewing PDFs Help You Save
If you’ve noticed a recent change in how products are offered on my sites, I wanted to take a moment to explain it clearly and honestly.
Shipping costs have increased across the board, and, like many small businesses, I’ve had to take a closer look at how checkout works to ensure orders remain accurate, fair, and sustainable — for you and me.
Why Digital Products Were Moved to Payhip
Digital sewing PDFs were not showing shipping charges, which is correct—downloads don’t require postage.
However, Hostinger's checkout system allowed shoppers to select a digital product option even when physical items were in the cart. This unintentionally bypassed shipping charges on items that still required mailing.
To prevent confusion and ensure physical orders ship properly, I made a simple but necessary change:
All digital downloads are now sold exclusively on Payhip.
All physical products remain here on Hostinger.
This creates a clean separation, so:
Digital products never involve shipping.
Physical products always include accurate postage.
Orders are fulfilled correctly every time.
This wasn’t about making things more complicated — it was about keeping checkout clear and fair for everyone.
Physical vs. Digital — Where to Shop
To make things easy:
Physical items (printed sewing patterns, fabric, doll clothes, handmade items)
→ Available on The Needle Market here on Hostinger
Digital PDFs (DIY sewing projects, printable guides, downloads)
→ Available on Payhip with instant access and no shipping
Each platform now does what it does best.
Why This Change Actually Helps You
This update gives you more control over how you shop:
Want no shipping costs?
→ Choose a digital PDF on Payhip
Do you want a printed pattern or a physical item?
→ Shop on Hostinger, knowing shipping is handled correctly
Want to save money long-term?
→ DIY sewing projects help replace store-bought items with things you can make once and use again
There’s no guessing at checkout and no surprises after purchase.
Sewing DIY Projects to Save Money
One reason I focus so much on DIY sewing projects is that they solve a real problem.
Handmade items:
Reduce repeat purchases
Stretch fabric scraps
Replace disposable or expensive store-bought items
Can be made at your own pace
For readers who enjoy hands-on projects, I share free tutorials on my blog. For those who prefer step-by-step instructions, printable PDFs are available — without shipping — so you can download, print, and sew whenever it works for you.
Physical Sewing Projects Are Here to Stay
I want to be clear that physical sewing projects are not going away. Many readers prefer printed patterns, fabric, and ready-to-use items, and those will continue to be offered. Sewing is a hands-on craft, and physical projects remain an important part of my work.
Digital PDFs are an additional option for those who want instant access or want to avoid shipping costs. Offering both physical and digital products allows everyone to choose what works best for their sewing style, budget, and space.
A Thank You to My Readers
I truly appreciate everyone who supports small, independent creators. Every change I make is with long-term sustainability in mind — not just for my shop, but for the people who rely on practical, affordable sewing ideas.
